About Tiny Desk AI

Who runs Tiny Desk AI, what it makes, what a video costs, how payment and refunds work, and how we handle your photos. The facts in one place.

Real clips, made from ordinary photos

Short answer: Tiny Desk AI (tinydeskaivideo.org) is an independent AI video site run by a small team, launched in October 2026. You upload one clear photo for the lead singer, and up to four more for the band if you like, and get a 15-second, 9:16 MP4 (480p, or 720p HD) with no watermark in about five minutes: the "Outstanding" desk concert moment, with the band at the desk, the lead singer's long note, big laugh and wave, then the sax solo, all with your faces. Every render gives you two files: one with the original performance sound, one with no music. One video costs $9.99 in 480p ($14.99 in 720p HD) with one photo or five; there is no free generation, no first-order discount and no subscription is needed. Payments go through Stripe (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link), we never see or store your card number, credits never expire, and a failed render gives its credits back automatically. Questions reach a real person at support@tinydeskaivideo.org.

What it makes

One trend, done properly. The scene already knows the desk, the light, the cuts and every move, so you only bring the photos: one for the lead singer, and optionally the keyboard player, the sax player and the two backup singers. Any seat without a photo is played by an AI musician.

What happens in the 15 seconds (15 seconds of the viral 19-second AI version the trend copies): the band at the desk, the keyboard player at the front, sings the opening line and grooves (0–5.3 s), the lead singer holds a long note that breaks into a big laugh and a wave (5.3–11.6 s), and the sax player takes the solo to the end (11.6–15 s).

How it works

  1. Upload a clear photo of the lead singer, and up to four bandmates if you like. Front-facing, even light, one person per photo: the clearer the face, the more it looks like them.
  2. Press Make and sign in with Google or an email address. The exact credit cost is shown before you confirm.
  3. The video renders in about five minutes and is saved under My videos. Download the version you want, with the original sound or with no music, and post it.

Every video is AI-generated, not real footage. The moment is re-filmed by an AI video model with the faces from your photos, so the people and the performance are generated, not recorded. Please switch on the AI-generated label when you post.

Who it is for

Tiny Desk AI is for adults. Upload only photos of people who agreed to it: yourself, or friends who said yes. Please don't upload photos of children, celebrities or public figures; nothing sexual is ever made.

Independent, not affiliated

Tiny Desk AI is an unofficial tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to NPR, Tiny Desk Concerts, Charlie Wilson, The Gap Band, their labels or management, TikTok or Instagram, and we use no NPR logo. We do not sell or host NPR's video: the video you download is a new AI video with the faces from your photos, not that recording. The trend name is used only to describe the format.
